Hello! My name is Tamala Phillips and I am a Special Education Resource/Inclusion teacher. This is my seventh year of teaching, and my third year teaching Special Education. I am originally from West Virginia (Let's Go Mountaineers!) and I graduated in 2000 with a BA in sociology and anthropology from West Virginia University. After working many years for corporate McDonald's and serving as a medic in the United States Army, I transitioned to teaching. I have taught 3rd/4th grade in the general classroom, 9th/10th grade ELA, and 7th/8th grade ELA Special Education. I have been married to my husband, Cayce, for 14 years and we have two daughters: Jillian, 15, and Gabriella, 13. In my spare time, I like to read, travel, shop, attend sporting events, visit historical sites, research genealogy, and participate in activities with my family. I am very excited to be living in Clarksville and I am super proud to be a member of the Oakland family. Let's have a fantastic year!
